The invention relates to a multifunction electrochemical reactor meant to increase the efficiency in the purification of waste water resulting from organic, petrochemical and machine building industries. According to the invention, the reactor is provided with soluble sandwich-type electrodes consisting of an inert support () on which a consumable electrode () is fixed by means of a graphite resilient gasket (), intended to perform sealing between the cells by slackening the resilient gasket () when the electrode () is consumed.
