The invention relates to a method of growing certain heteroptera species to be used in the biological control of certain species of pest insects. According to the invention, the method consists in collecting predatory heteroptera species and raising them in growth chambers, at the temperature of 24°C, under controlled light conditions, i.e. 16 h light/8 h dark, and relative humidity of air of 65%, the adult individuals being used in inundative releases at a release rate using a prey : predator ratio of 1...3 : 1 or 30000 individuals/hectare, depending on the life cycle stage of the pest insect.
