METHOD FOR TREATING VEGETATIVE DYSFUNCTIONS AT VARIOUS LEVELS IN PATIENTS WITH CEREBRAL ANGIODYSTONIA

The method for treating vegetative dysfunctions at various levels in the patients with cerebral angiodystonia comprises the use of the vasoactive drugs and the conventional electrophoresis. Phenibut (one tablet 250 mg) is taken throce a day prior to the meals for 1.5-2 months. The dry standardized extract from Ginkgo biloba leaves 40 or 80 mg is taken 2-3 times a day for a month. Since the first day of the treatment, the low intensity high-frequency transcerebral magnetic stimulation is provided onto right and left frontal-temporal projections of the brain daily at the induction of 0.3 T with 0.1 T increment for each following procedure up to 0.8 T, the frequency of 20 Hz, the duration of the procedure is 10 min every other day. The endonasal electrophoresis of Mexidol is performed in days that are free of magnetic stimulation. Then parameters of electrophoresis are such as follows: 1:1 dilution applied from anode with current of 0.5-1.5 mA with increment of 0.1 mA after each procedure, the duration of the procedure is 20 min; at the same time 5 % solution of Mexidol is applied from bifurcated cathode. In case of solar syndrome, the negative electrodes are applied onto the area of the solar plexus. In case of vegetalgia in the projection of the cervical sympathetic trunks, the negative electrodes are applied onto the areas of the maximal painfulness.
