METHOD FOR CATCHING HIGHLY DISPERSED DROPPING LIQUID FROM GAS-LIQUID STREAM

A method for catching highly dispersed liquid from a gas-liquid stream comprises feeding gas-liquid stream in a separation package of plates, deviation of the path of movement of liquid droplets under the action of inertia forces from a curved line of gas-liquid stream enveloping the plates, the deposition of droplets on the inner surfaces of the plates and their subsequent coagulation to form a film of liquid, withdrawal from the separation zone of the collected liquid film which flows along the surface of the plates. The supply of gas-liquid stream is carried out in the separation package of plane-parallel elastic plates beveled at an acute angle and cantilever-fixed at an acute angle to the path of motion of the gas-liquid stream with possibility of bending thereof in the form of an inclined parabolic half-cylinder under action of the dynamic pressure (velocity head) of stream and internal stresses in the plates.
