The invention relates to the medicine, in particular traumatology and surgery, namely to the method for preventing osteomyelitis in the bone fractures of the upper limbs. The method comprises the use of high-energy laser radiation in red area of the spectrum at the wavelength of 980 nm at the output power of 7-8 W and exposure time of 60-90 s applied via monofilament light-guide, 1 mm in diameter, inserted into the surgical wound for treating the edges of the bone fragments.
