SHIELDED ARMOR

Shielded armor contains basic armor and fastened to it at some distance by means of brackets screen arranged in an array of parallel horizontal metal plates having a rectangular plate shape that are rigidly secured in between the vertical connecting plates. The distance between the plates is determined by taking into account the size of the conductive cone DA for different nomenclature cumulative antitank grenades used to fit the armored vehicles, and is in the range (0.7 ... 1) DA, and vertical plates have the same thickness with horizontal plates and are located at the distance (0.7 ... 3.5) DA from each other.
