METHOD FOR ASSESSMENT OF THE EFFECTIVENESS OF AZILSARTAN TREATMENT OF PATIENTS WITH CORONARY HEART DISEASE WITH ANGINA PECTORIS AND HYPERTENSION

A method for assessment of the effectiveness of Azilsartan treatment of patients with coronary heart disease with angina pectoris and hypertension involves a comparison of patients before and after treatment. Prior to treatment with Azilsartan, 5 ml of blood is collected from the median cubital vein of a patient at rest to determine the blood fluid properties by measuring the viscosity thereof in a rotary viscometer at various biases from 0,020 dyn/cm2 to 8.8 dyn/cm2. On completion of the treatment, another 5 ml of blood is collected from the patient’s median cubital vein and a similar examination is carried out; if the viscosity of the blood at a bias of 0.3 dyn/cm2 decreases by 7.5%, compared with that before the treatment, the result of hemorheological and antianginal effect is evaluated as positive.
