The present utility model is a process of preparing ZnO Carboxymethyl chitosan bionanocomposite that was used for pad-dry-curing of the woven polyester - Ananas comosus (pineapple) blended fabric to acquire UV protection and anti bacterial property. The treatment of the polyester/pineapple blended fabric with ZnO Carboxymethyl chitosan bionanocomposite significantly improved the UV blocking by at least 10-15 pcnt . The present model also showed bactericidal property against Klebsiella pneumoniae and Staphylococcus aureus qualified by the presence of clearing zone of inhibition and no growth under the strip through AATCC 147-2004 standard test method.
