Fermentation process for the production of polyhydroxyalkanoates and derivatives comprising using bacterial predators. # Process for extracting a byproduct selected from the group consisting of polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA), hydrolyzate PHA and any mixture thereof, and obtained by fermentation a dam producing bacterium, characterized in said extraction process comprises mixing producing bacterium containing the bioproduct dam inside a predatory bacteria in a medium comprising a source of Ca and Mg. Preferably the predatory bacteria Bdeílovibrio bacteriovorus HD100 and producing bacterium Pseudomonas putida KT2440 dam is Cupriavidus necator or H16. Additionally, a method of obtaining bioproduct comprising extraction by the method of the invention is also described.
