Method of characterizing a variation of the particle velocity or particle agglomeration, particles, such as a blood particles contained in a liquid (12), the method comprising the following 5 steps being: - introducing (100) the liquid (12) in a fluidic chamber (14); - lighting (120) of the fluidic chamber (14) through an excitation light beam (18) emitted by a light source (16), extending the light beam (18) through the fluid chamber (14) in a longitudinal direction (X); - acquiring (130) of at least two images (In (x, y), In + m (x, y), I (x, y)) by a matrix photodetector (20), images (In ( x, y), In + m (x, y), I (x, y)) formed by a radiation transmitted by the illuminated fluidic chamber (14); and - calculating (140) from the acquired images (In (x, y), In + m (x, y), I (x, y)), of at least one indicator (Ind1n, n + m, Ind2) characterizing the variation of velocity or particle agglomeration; wherein, when the acquisition step (130) occurs, the photodetector (20) is arranged at a distance (D2) less than 1 cm of the fluidic chamber (14) in the longitudinal direction (X).
