A control method of a DC-DC bidirectional connectable converter (100) between a high voltage bus (4) and a bus low voltage (2) for passing from a first operating mode (144) in which the high voltage is converted to a low voltage and a second operating mode (146) in which the low voltage is converted to high voltage, comprising the steps of: - controlling (S1a) the DC-DC bidirectional (100) converter in first or second mode of operation with a duty cycle having a value greater than 0%; - measuring (S2) a first voltage (VH) present in the high voltage bus (4); - measuring (S1) a second voltage (VL) present on the bus low voltage (2); - automatically controlling (147), based on said first and second measured voltages, the step of DC-DC bidirectional (100) converter from the first mode to the second mode or from the second mode to the first mode operation, characterized by further comprising, before the control step from the first mode to the second mode of operation, the steps of: - measuring continuously (S4) for a first predetermined time interval (t2), the voltage (VH) present in the high voltage bus (4); - comparing (S4) the voltage (VH) measured in the high voltage bus (4) with a first threshold value (Vinf); and - checking (S4) if, within the first time interval (t2), the voltage (VH) on the high voltage bus (4) becomes less than the first threshold value (Vinf) value and, if so control (147; S3, S4) step bidirectional DC-DC (100) converter from the first mode to the second mode of operation. Including the step of controlling (147) said step of reducing (S3) the duty cycle in predetermined steps until a value of the duty cycle of 0% is reached.
