The present invention relates to the development of a method for diagnosing lung cancer by serum test. This method consists in the determination in serum of the concentration of soluble CD26 (sCD26) and Calprotectin proteins by reliable and minimally invasive tests. The joint variation of both proteins increases their diagnostic capacity and constitutes a potential marker for the diagnosis of this neoplasm. # The application of this procedure in the clinical-health field is a very useful tool that provides the doctor with objective data on the probability of that an individual suffers from lung cancer, serving as a complement to the diagnostic tests that are usually carried out.
