Audio system for aircraft comprising: - spokes (4, 5) communication or navigation; - a central management audio (1) connected to the radio and comprising at least one numeric part (7) capable of handling digital signals and at least one analog part (8) able to process analog signals; - at least one terminal (3a, 3b, 3c) comprises a number equally portion (10) capable of processing digital signals and an analog part (11) capable of handling analog signals; - at least two communication channels (16a, 17a; 16b, 17b; 16c, 17c) between the central management terminal and audio; audio system being characterized in that the central management audio and the terminal comprising switching means (18a, 19a: 18b, 19b; 18c, 19c) which are coordinated to selectively connect: - an ascending path and a descending path the numerical part of the central management audio respectively an upward path and a downward path of the numeric portion of the terminal through the two communication channels; or - an upward path and a downward path of the analog part of the central management audio respectively an upward path and a downward path of the analog part of the terminal through the two communication channels.
