Process to stabilize the bacterial content of aqueous mineral preparations comprising natural ground calcium carbonate and / or precipitated calcium carbonate and / or dolomite and / or calcium carbonate reacted surface
Process for stabilizing an aqueous mineral preparation comprising a step of: (a) adding at least one biocide containing aldehyde and / or aldehyde releasing and / or phenolic and / or isothiazoline such aqueous mineral preparation; characterized in that: - said mineral comprises at least one of: a ground natural calcium carbonate, precipitated calcium carbonate, a dolomite, a calcium carbonate reacted surface, clay, talc, TiO2, kaolin, kaolinitic clay, kaolinitic clay, calcined sulfate calcium, quartz, attapulgite, montmorillonite, diatomaceous earth, finely divided silica, aluminum oxide, aluminum hydroxide, silicates, pumice and sepiolite, or a mixture thereof; - the process comprises a step (b), which may be simultaneous and / or different ways from step (a), of adding at least one diamine compound or linear or cyclic triamine to said aqueous mineral preparation, wherein the compound of diamine or triamine linear or cyclic having at least one primary amine group, and wherein the compound of diamine or triamine linear having the following formula (I): ** ** formula wherein: m is an integer and is 0 or 1 , n is an integer and is between 2 and 8, or is an integer and is 0 to 3, R1 is a C1 to C12, and R2 is CH3 or NH2, and with the proviso that when m = 0, then o = 0 and R2 is NH2; and wherein the diamine compound or cyclic triamine has one of the following formulas (II) and (III): where: are kyl same or different and are 0 or 1, R3 is H or CH3, and R4 and R5 are the same or different and are selected from H and CH3, - said (s) biocide (s) is added (n) to such an aqueous preparation in an amount ranging from 90 to 1350 ppm based on the weight of the aqueous phase of such an aqueous preparation; and - said (s) compound (s) of diamine or linear or cyclic triamine is added (n) to such an aqueous preparation in an amount corresponding to from 600 to 1200 ppm, based on the weight of the aqueous phase of such an aqueous preparation .
