The apparatus and methods include the organ cassette withone or more openings configured to allow tubing to pass through the openingsand be connected to the organ or tissue within the cassette, and including apressure control device to allow pressure inside the portable housing to bevaried. The apparatus and methods further include the cassette with heattransfer surfaces arranged to transfer heat between a cooling source in saidtransporter and the heat transfer surfaces. The apparatus and methods furtherinclude a tube frame removably connected to the cassette and configured tohold a plurality of tubes in a position to be connected to tubes in theportable housing.
