CULVERT BUNDLE FOR STREAM CROSSINGS AND FLOW-THROUGH BRIDGE ABUTMENTS

This invention relates to road construction and, more particularly, culvertbundles that areused in the construction of roads or other structures across streams andrivers. A culvertbundle and fill assembly for stream crossings and flow-through bridgeabutments comprising:(a) a first separator fabric placed over a streambed; (b) a plurality ofculverts placed onthe fabric and blocked into position; (c) a plurality of bands, cables,strapping fasteners orother restrainers holding the culverts and blocking in position; (d) a secondseparator fabricplaced over the plurality of culverts; and (e) soil or other fill placed overthe second separatorfabric and the plurality of culverts and blocking to create a road or othercrossing structuresurface.
