A method for quality ofser-vice (QoS) parameters mapping during ahandover from a first radio access network(RAN) (source RAN, 104) to a secondRAN (target RAN, 106), the first RANhav-ing communication with at least one accesspoint name (APN), comprising: deriving anAPN aggregated maximum bit rate(APN--AMBR) based on a maximumbit rate(MBR) of a packet data protocol (PDP)context associated with a first APN of thefirst RAN (104); providing a local userequipment (UE) agrregated maximum bitrate (UE-AMBR) until a subscribedUE--AMBR is available for the UE,- acquiringthe subscribed UE-AMBR,- calculating aderived UE-AMBR by taking themiumi-mum of the subscribed UE-AMBR and thesum of all APN-AMBRs of all active APNsassociated with the UR; comparing theder-vided UE-AMBR to the local UE-AMBR;and initialing a subscribed quality ofser-vice (QoS) modification procedure to notifythe derived UE-AMBR if the localUE--AMBR is different from the derviedUE--AMBR.
