One embodiment of the present invention comprises methods and apparatusfor a camera that includes a curved sensor. In another embodiment, the cameraincludes mechanical image stabilization. Yet another embodiment utilizeselectronicimage stabilization. Another embodiment incorporates optical imagestabilization.In yet another embodiment, a camera with a conventional sensor includes anautomatically-controlled lens shade which is mounted on the outside of thecameraenclosure. This automatically-controlled lens shade extends for telephotoshots, andretracts for wider angle shots.
