SPUTUM APPARATUS, ARTIFICIAL VENTILATION SYSTEM, AND METHOD FOR OPERATING SPUTUM APPARATUS

[Object] To provide a sputum apparatus capable ofautomatically aspirating sputum safely.[Solving Means] A sputum apparatus includes asuction line, a switching unit, a measurement unit, anda control unit. The suction line has a suction inletwhich aspirates sputum produced in patient'srespiratory tract; and an accommodating part maintainedat negative pressure, which accommodates the aspiratedsputum. The switching unit is in the suction line, andcan switch between first state where the suction inletcommunicates with the accommodating part, and secondstate where the suction inlet is shutoff from theaccommodating part. The measurement unit measures theexpired air being aspirated into the accommodating part,under the first state. The control unit can switch theswitching unit from the second state to the first stateduring expiration, and keep the first state when theexpired air measured by the measurement unit is underpredetermined value.
