Provided is an electric assist mobile body such that, when it became necessary to replace a control device, information stored in a storage medium does not need to be re-recorded. An electric assist unit for mounting to an electric assist mobile body capable of assisting first drive force produced by human power with second drive force produced by electric power is provided with: a sensor unit including a sensor for detecting a physical quantity related to the electric assist mobile body and a storage medium; a motor for generating the second drive force; and a control device configured to control the motor on the basis of a result of detection by the sensor.
