A method for file upload to a cloud storage system, a download method and a device, the method for file upload to cloud storage applying to a client terminal and comprising: generation of a file key and, according to same, security-processing an original data file so as to generate a secure data file; transmission of said secure data file to a cloud storage system. The present technical solution provides end-to-end protection of data confidentiality and integrity in storage to a cloud storage system, thus resolving problems of poor security in cloud storage of data.
