Disclosed in the present invention are a method and device for recognition on a CDMA network of international roaming type, said method comprising the steps of: collecting the signaling links between a HIGH signal transfer point (HSTP) and service platforms (S501); obtaining from said signaling links signaling relating to user roaming, filtering therefrom events handled by roaming service platforms, then performing a synthesis based on the global title (GT) and extracting therefrom a mobile switching center (MSC) GT as well as the telephone number of the user's main mobile phone; matching between the MSC GT and the platform GTs so as to identify different roaming services processing platforms, and obtaining therefrom the roaming type of the user (S506). Also disclosed is a device for recognition on a CDMA network of international roaming type. The present invention obtains an MSC GT number on the basis of the signaling routing on a current network, then compares said MSC GT number with the GT numbers of service platforms, and is able thereby to distinguish the roaming type of a user when in international roaming. The common features of international roaming are fully and comprehensively taken into account, hence different service strategies can be utilized for users of different roaming types.
