A fastening structure for a transparent member of a fighter plane cockpit and a fastening method therefor. The fastening structure comprises an aircraft body (1) and a cockpit transparent member (2) installed thereupon; the periphery of the cockpit transparent member (2) is fitted with an edge frame (3), said edge frame (3) comprising a compression component (31) and a fastening component (32). The combined pressure on the fastening component (32) of the compression component (31) matched to the cockpit transparent member (2) creates a prestressing force which serves to fasten the cockpit transparent member (2). The present fastening structure is very strong, and has a wide range of application.
