Provided is an asymmetric multi-CPU system wherein a plurality of types of CPUs with different data processing performance and power consumption are mounted in plural for each type. A plurality of aspects of combinations of types and numbers of the CPUs are defined such that the maxima of overall data processing performance and power consumption differ at each level, and a control is carried out which allocates data processing to the CPU which is specified with the aspect which is selected from definition information according to a data processing environment. Wasted power consumption is alleviated and required data processing performance is easily implemented according to the data processing environment such as data processing load.
