A device for measuring the compaction depth of an oil cylinder type dynamic compactor, the device comprising: a linear displacement detecting device (71) for detecting the stroke of a lift cylinder (1); a processor (72) connecting to the linear displacement detecting device (71), and calculating the compaction depth each time a tamper (G) tamps according to the stroke of the lift cylinder (1) and the multiplying power K of a pulley block; and the device further comprises a display device (73), an alarm device (74), a pressure sensor (1a), etc. Also disclosed are a dynamic compactor having the device for measuring the compaction depth of an oil cylinder type dynamic compactor, and a method for measuring the compaction depth of the oil cylinder type dynamic compactor, such that the compaction depth each time the tamper (G) tamps can be calculated according to the stroke of the lift cylinder (1) and the multiplying power K of a pulley block, thus automatically measuring the compaction depth, and having the advantages of high accuracy of measurement, low cost, and good reliability.
