SAMPLE MANAGEMENT IN LABORATORY ENVIRONMENT

There is described herewith a sample management system for a laboratory environment. The system combines a physical support, namely a label affixed to a sample, a scanning device, and a virtual support to provide effective sample management from registration to results reading and interpretation. The label may be updated at several steps of the workflow in order to provide lab personnel with relevant dynamic data concerning past, present, and future processing steps.
