A conventional waveform generation circuit needs to increase the D/A converter bit count and the sampling rate in order to increase the accuracy of the waveform rectification, which in turn increases the cost. To solve this problem, as a method for increasing the accuracy of waveform rectification, the output time interval of the D/A converter output values is controlled so that the output voltage difference between the target waveform and the output waveform is reduced, thereby reducing the output waveform quantization error. Thus, it is possible to generate a waveform with a high accuracy even when the D/A converter bit count is small. Moreover, by applying the waveform generation method to radar device modulation control, it is possible to constitute a modulation circuit of a small-size and cheap oscillator.
