The invention discloses an aqueous anaesthetic Propofol composition that is stable, autoclave sterilized, suitable for parental administration, having reduced incidence of pain upon injection. The composition comprises propofol, 2-hydroxypropyl-beta-cyclodextrin and a local anaesthetic, Lignocaine.
