Provided is a similar medical case search device comprising: a left/right position determination unit (105) that determines whether each of lesion areas belongs to a left-side organ or a right-side organ on the basis of corresponding position information; a one-sided distribution identification unit (106) that identifies whether the distribution state of a lesion area is a one-sided distribution in which said lesion area is distributed unevenly to a left-side organ or a right-side organ; and a similar medical case search unit (107) that, when the distribution state of the lesion area is identified as a one-sided distribution, searches for both medical case data in which there is one-sided distribution to a left-side organ and medical case data in which there is one-sided distribution to a right-side organ.
