A high-voltage large-current direct-current circuit breaker and a control method therefor. The direct-current circuit breaker comprises an auxiliary switch circuit, a direct-current load switch, a first lightning arrester (MOV1), a main switch branch (5), a first diode valve (D1) and a second diode valve (D2). The auxiliary switch circuit comprises a first cut-off unit and a second cut-off unit, wherein one end of the first cut-off unit is connected to a first current limiting reactor (L1); and after being connected to the second cut-off unit, the direct-current load switch and a second current limiting reactor (L2) in sequence, the other end thereof is connected in a circuit in series. After the main switch branch is connected to the first lightning arrester (MOV1) in parallel, one end thereof is connected between the first cut-off unit and the second cut-off unit, and the other end thereof is grounded. The first diode valve (D1) is connected between the first current limiting reactor (L1) and the first cut-off unit and is grounded, and the second diode valve (D2) is connected between the second current limiting reactor (L2) and the direct-current load switch and is grounded. Based on a current transfer principle, the direct-current circuit breaker breaks a direct current, which is suitable for a high-voltage large-current occasion, and thus the direct-current circuit breaker has a simple topology structure, and is quick to shunt and simple to control.
