The present invention provides an artificial trachea of the same structure as a natural trachea. Specifically, the artificial trachea is provided with multiple tracheal cartilage sections (2) obtained from cartilage tissue (10) containing chondrocytes, and ring-shaped tracheal ligament sections (3) obtained from connective tissue (4). The multiple tracheal cartilage sections (2) are provided in the direction of the respiratory tract leaving spaces therebetween. The multiple tracheal cartilage sections (2) are connected via the tracheal ligament sections (3). The tracheal cartilage sections (2) and the tracheal ligament sections (3) configure a tubular shape overall. The relatively soft tracheal ligament sections (3) are interposed between the multiple tracheal cartilage sections (2). The artificial trachea (1) has a structure that is pliable overall. The artificial trachea (1) has a structure that is the same as a natural trachea.
