The present invention relates to a thermal barrier coating film and a method for manufacturing the same, the thermal barrier coating film having a columnar structure which is discontinuously formed with respect to a boundary, wherein the columnar structure has a shape grown in the vertical direction with respect to a substrate, the columnar structure at the lower portion of the boundary and the columnar structure at the upper portion of the boundary are homogeneous, and the boundary and the columnar structure are formed of complex oxides including a plurality of metallic elements that are different from each other. The thermal barrier coating film manufactured according to the present invention is capable of reducing thermal conductivity due to the scattering of heat conducted by the boundary, and securing low thermal conductivity at a high temperature.
