A communication apparatus includes a communication unit configured to perform wireless communication with another communication apparatus using a first communication method (NFC), a setting unit configured to set priority to each of a plurality of services to be executed included in a record which is used in communication using the communication unit for performing handover from the first communication method to a second communication method (WLAN or Bluetooth) that is different from the first communication method and which is for designating the second communication method, and a transmission unit configured to transmit the record including the plurality of information indicating the priority set by the setting unit to the another communication apparatus via the communication unit. As a result, the priority of each of the plurality of auxiliary information regarding services to be executed included in the record for indicating the communication method to which handover can be performed can be notified.
