The present invention relates to a composition for preventing or treating late-onset hypogonadism or the andropause syndrome and, more specifically, to a composition which comprises extracts of herbs such as red ginseng, Dioscorea batatas DECNE, Lycium chinense, Cornus officinalis, and Curcuma longa and is effective in preventing or treating the various symptoms of the andropause syndrome. The composition according to the present invention has the effects of preventing or treating the symptoms of andropause, exhibited through the meaningful improvement of erectile function, an overall improvement on the IIEF test, and the AMS, ADAM, and penile Doppler tests. Further, it is expected that the composition could sufficiently be used as hormone replacement therapy, since such functional improvements are possible without any significant change in androgenic hormones.
