The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a finish material with excellent optical design expression, the method comprising: a raw material processing step for piercing a plurality of through holes in a raw material; an optical fiber location step for locating an optical fiber in each of the through holes so as to allow one end of each optical fiber to protrude from the through holes; a surface grinding step for evenly grinding the surface of the raw material; and a surface striking step for colliding strike particles against the grinded surface of the raw material to form concave and convex portions on the surface while one end of the optical fiber protrudes over the concave and convex portions. In addition, the present invention relates to a finish material with excellent optical design expression wherein after one end of each of the optical fibers inserted into the plurality of through holes is exposed from the surface, the surface is grinded flatly, and the strike particles collide against the surface to allow one end of each optical fiber and the concave and convex portions to be roughly surface-treated, so that one end of each optical fiber and the concave and convex portion around the optical fiber protrude over all concave and convex portions in other locations, and one end of each optical fiber protrudes over the concave and convex portion around the optical fiber. The finish material manufacturing method according to the present invention has an effect of being able to rapidly and effectively produce the finish material through simple processes. In addition, the finish material according to the present invention has an improved light emission effect of the optical fibers, thus effectively transmitting, to an observer, the design to be expressed. Furthermore, in a case where the finish material is applied to a floor material, the design can be expressed and slip prevention can be ensured.
