The present invention relates to buried underground type container system having a waterproof function and a cooling function, comprising: a buried box buried under ground in the form of a manhole with the sides and the lower surface sealed in all directions and the upper surface opened; a cover section for covering the open portion of the upper surface of the buried box to seal up the inner space of the buried box; an air-conditioning section for cooling a built-in device located in the inner space of the buried box by using the air flowing from the outside of the buried boxy by ventilating or sealing the inner space of the buried box according to the inflow rate of rainwater; a cooling section for cooling the built-in device by using cooling water flowing from the outside of the buried box through pipes provided inside and outside the buried box; and a controller for controlling the operation of at least one of the air-conditioning section and the cooling section according to at least one of whether the inner space of the buried box is sealed and the temperature.
