KITCHEN AIR EXTRACTION CANOPY HAVING A CAVITY WITH AIR GUIDING AND DIRECTING DELIMITING WALL

A kitchen air extraction canopy (1) comprises an extraction area (10) for extracting air from a kitchen space (200), especially from a space above cooking equipment (100), away through the extraction area; and a cavity (20) for collecting air drawn from the kitchen space through an open downward facing side (21) of the cavity into the cavity towards the extraction area (10), the extraction area being arranged in a wall of the cavity. The cavity comprises a guiding delimiting wall (22) configured such that air within the cavity is guided along the guiding delimiting wall and directed by the guiding delimiting wall in a direction substantially along the open downward facing side (21) of the cavity. Preferably, the guiding delimiting wall is configured such that air is guided in a laminar flow condition along the guiding delimiting wall. The canopy further allows introduction of additional air into the cavity (20) adjacent to and along the guiding delimiting wall (22) such as to provide an additional air flow along the guiding delimiting wall.
