INTELLIGENT PERSONNEL ESCAPE ROUTING DURING HAZARD EVENT

An intelligent hazard response system receives first data indicating a hazardous or potential hazardous gas leak at a site from a plurality of gas detection devices positioned at different locations at the site. Thereafter, second data is received including real-time personnel status data and real-time site status data. A rules engine determines optimal evacuation routes for each individual to minimize a likelihood of being harmed by the gas leak and provides third data indicating the determined evacuation routes to mobile communication devices carried by the personnel. The rules engine takes into account real¬ time time information including the location of individuals with respect to the location and nature of the hazards, the location and nature of rescue equipment on site, the location of safe areas, the potential evolution of the hazard. The hazard response system can also optimally guide first responders to address the gas leak.
