The invention concerns a facility comprising adjustable leaves for covering and uncovering a surface (2), said adjustable leaves comprising: - on each side of the adjacent ends of the leaves, a mechanism for orienting the leaves according to the pivot axes of same and for moving the leaves between a deployed position and a storage position; - a control system for simultaneously moving, in the same direction, the inner strands (11i, 15i) of belts in order to move the leaves in translation and for simultaneously moving, in opposing directions, the inner strands (11i, 15i) of the belts in order to orient the leaves; - a device for distributing the leaves mounted on a movable carriage (42) biased in elastic return to bear against the stored head leaf (3a) or the storage edge (5), the movable carriage (42) being provided with return pulleys (43, 44) for the inner strands of the belts, positioned in a superposed manner to delimit the end of the channel along which the leaves are driven.
