The present embodiments relates to a user equipment (1500) and method therein for network access selection, and a network node (1) and a method therein for providing policies to the UE. The method in the UE (1500) comprises: receiving from the network node (1) a policy index to identify a policy set stored in the UE (1500). The method further comprises selecting a policy from the identified policy set and selecting a network based on the selected policy. The network (1) assigns policy set(s) and policy indices and sends the information to the UE (1500) and then selects a policy index and sends it to the UE enabling the UE to select a network based on the selected policy.
