The method involves conducting supply air (10) by a vaporizer (2) of a heat pump circuit (1), where the supply air delivers heat energy to a refrigerant within the vaporizer. The vaporized refrigerant is compressed by a compressor (3), where the compressed refrigerant condenses within a condenser (4) and delivers heat energy to rinsing water. A component i.e. water vapor, of the supply air is condensed within the vaporizer. Condensate of the supply air is collected in the vaporizer and supplied to a washing chamber of a dishwashing machine. An independent claim is also included for a dishwasher.
