An action mechanism of a new electric leakage protection module comprises a base (4), a traction piece (1) and a tripping actuating piece (2), and also comprises a reset piece (3) capable of moving on the base under the effect of an external force and provided with a first matching portion and a first elastic element. The first matching portion is provided with an acceleration tripping piece. The tripping actuating piece is provided with a second push rod (22). The second push rod is provided with a second matching portion. When electric leakage does not occur, the first matching portion matches the second matching portion, so that the tripping actuating piece is immobile and the first elastic element is in an energy storage state. When electric leakage occurs, the tripping actuating piece drives the second push rod to rotate under the effect of the traction piece, so that the first matching portion is separated from the second matching portion in a sliding manner; at this time, the first elastic element releases energy so as to apply an external force to the reset piece, so that the reset piece moves on the base; the reset piece drives the acceleration tripping piece to move and enables the acceleration tripping piece to abut against the second push rod, so as to apply a rotation actuating force to the second push rod; and the direction of the rotation actuating force is basically the same as the direction of the rotation of the second push rod caused by the effect of the traction piece.
