An embodiment of the present invention provides a method for preventing a wrongful card use which can be generated in electronic commerce by a card wrongful use prevention server, the wrongful card use prevention method comprising the steps of: receiving an approval request for a card payment from an online member store server; calculating an wrongful use index using an extracted variable on the basis of at least one of card use-related information corresponding to the card and information relating to sales of the online member store; determining whether a preconfigured wrongful use condition is satisfied on the basis of at least one of information of a user's terminal which requests the card payment to the online member store server and information relating to the online member store; and detecting a wrongful use or normal use of the card, on the basis of at least one of the calculated wrongful use index and whether the wrongful use condition is satisfied.
