The method involves transmitting a set of messages to be signed by an electronic device. Each message is disturbed. The message is modified by insertion of an identical error for each message. One of intermediate values is determined. Physical measurements obtained during verification of a signature are analyzed (304) as a function of the message to be signed, the error, which is identical for each message, and an assumption of a value of a part of a secret parameter, where the assumption of the value of the part is made byte by byte. An independent claim is also included for an electronic device.
