The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition for treating keratin fibres, in particular human keratin fibres such as the hair, which is in multi-phase form, preferably two-phase form, comprising (i) at least one aqueous phase (A) freeof fatty substances containing one or more cationic surfactants and (ii) at least one phase (B) comprising one or more cationic surfactants and one or more solid fatty alcohols, the said phases (A) and (B) being visually separate from each other.
