Provided is a fructose amino acid oxidase having the amino acid sequence as shown by SEQ ID No.1, or in fructose amino acid oxidases having more than 80% homology with the amino acid sequence, wherein the amino acid sequence has one or more amino acid residue substitutions at a position corresponding to the amino acid selected from the following (a) to (f) and the resulting fructose amino acid oxidase has a higher thermal stability: (a) glutamic acid at position 59, (b) glutamic acid at position 98, (c) glycine at position 225, (d) lysine at position 277, (e) glutamic acid at position 285 and (f) aspartic acid at position 355. Also provided are a method for preparing the above-mentioned enzyme and a kit containing the enzyme for determining glycated albumin.
