Catalytic nanocages, uses and synthesis method. The invention relates to a novel family of metalorganic complexes, the supramolecular structure of which forms a cage, the size of said cage being modulable according to the composition of the complex, and said cage being able to have catalytic properties. The complexes of the invention are of general formula [M1(L) M2D)x]n, wherein M1 is the first metal or metal centre, M2 is a second metal, D is a solvent, and L is a tetradentate ligand.
