Provided are a method and device for mining a social relationship based on financial data. The method for mining a social relationship based on financial data of the present invention comprises: acquiring financial transaction data of a client user, and determining a financial transaction network according to the financial transaction data; determining a network topology attribute of the client user and a non-network topology attribute of the client user according to the financial transaction network; and determining a social relationship corresponding to the client user according to a topology attribute and a non-network topology attribute of the financial transaction network. The embodiments of the present invention solve the problems in the prior art that the efficiency of judging the social relationship between client users is low, and the social relationship of client users is not totally discovered.
