Disclosed is a method for controlling a smart television based on an Android system. The method comprises the following steps: a smart mobile terminal establishes a connection to the smart television through a wireless network (S01); the smart mobile terminal receives an operation instruction and sends the encapsulated operation instruction to the smart television (S02); and the smart television parses and identifies the operation instruction, executes the successfully identified operation instruction and displays an execution result (S03). The present invention can be used to improve user experience and is simple and convenient.
