The method comprises: a detection area determining step of determining a rectangular detection area in a detected image; a definition threshold determining step of calculating an image definition threshold according to a gray value of each pixel of multiple sample images in the detection area; a product image definition determining step of calculating a product image definition according to a gray value of each pixel of a product image in the detection area; a comparison step of comparing the product image definition with the image definition threshold; and a product image selection step of selecting a current product image as an image to be detected.
